Comparison of the Refraction Precision Results between Pentacam AXL and IOL Master 700 Using Universal II Barrett Formula after Cataract Surgery

Background: The availability of premium intraocular lenses (IOL), including toric, multifocal, and EDOF, has become very sophisticated now demands accurate biometric measurement accuracy. Pentacam AXL IOL Master 700 are often used for optical biometry they available in the market today. They can also be to measure parameters needed calculation using latest generation formulas, such as Barett Universal II. Therefore, this study aims compare accuracy refraction results between compared after cataract surgery with Universal-II formula. Method: A total 64 eyes from patients who had a preoperative examination were included study. Parameters K, ACD, LT, WTW, AL then two tools. Prediction error values calculated based on difference Spherical equivalent (SE) subjective 4 weeks their refractive prediction targets. Results: There was no statistically significant measured tools except ACD WTW. Furthermore, LT difficult obtain due penetration problems, well lens opacities. percentage that reach ± 0.50 D 70.3% 73.5%, respectively. However, average close emmetropia greater other tool. Conclusion: fairly good 700. it is still necessary optimize its constants optimal results.
